The Washington Region Cancer Support Home is seeking volunteers to staff the office located in Bentonville.
Typical volunteer duties include answering the phone, as well as assisting clients with their needs. This may include helping a woman choose a wig and hats, and also may include helping her to select the best masectomy product for her needs. Volunteers may also be asked to perform nominal office tasks, such as stuffing mailers and organizing library resources. Those who feel that they have some special services that the home might benefit from are also encouraged to present those skills. Personal experience with cancer is helpful, though not necessary, and all training will be provided at the Cancer Support Home.
Operational hours are Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. We are currently in need of individuals to fill shifts, typically 3-4 hours in length, on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. We are also in need of individuals who would be willing to fill-in on an emergency basis.
I hope that you will help meet our need.
